Las Vegas - 10 year anniversary.
Wow time flies, can't believe it's been 10 years already. We were gonna do something really big, like go on a cruise or to Hawaii. But we decided to do something to just get away and save the money for all the here's and there's around the house that need done. So to Vegas. It was so nice to just do nothing for 5 days. We booked a room at the Stratosphere. We did all the normal Vegas stuff we usually do. Walk down the strip and check out all the little shops along the way, see the Bellagio fountains, the MGM lions, the ships at Treasure Island, the birds at the Flamingo, etc. People trying to make money anyway they could dressed up as characters. Everyone was there. Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Woody and Buzz, Spider man, Jack Sparrow, you name it. It was cool. This year we finally made it to Freemont street too. That was amazing. For our anniversary Clint bought me a little silver ring with a pink heart that I saw 4 years ago I wanted, but didn't get. We ate at Red Lobster, wish ours around here could go get lessons on how to cook, it was so good. Then we went to the top of the Stratosphere after dark. It's free to all who stay there. It was a great trip and I'm sad to be home, but I'll be happy to get back to the norm. ^_^

My new favorite song - King of Anything by Sara Bareilles
Keep drinkin' coffee
Stare me down across the table
While I look outside
So many things I'd say if only I were able
But I just keep quiet
And count the cars that pass by
You've got opinions, man
We're all entitled to 'em
But I never asked
So let me thank you for time
And try to not waste any more of mine
Get out of here fast
I hate to break it to you babe
But I'm not drowning
There's no one here to save
Who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
You sound so innocent
All full of good intent
You swear you know best
But you expect me to
Jump up on board with you
Ride off into your dellusional sunset
I'm not the one who's lost
With no direction oh
But you won't ever see
You're so busy makin' maps
With my name on them in all caps
You got the talkin' down just not the listening
And who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
All my life I've tried
To make everybody happy while I
Just hurt, And hide
Waitin' for someone to tell me it's my turn
To decide
Who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
Who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
Stare me down across the table

I love it when I find a song that says it exactly the way I feel. I know some parts of this song are a little harsh, but I find it hard to tell people exactly how I feel without it turning into a big debate. I feel like no one stops to ask if I am happy. Well I am. I love my life. I love my husband. I sometimes feel like he is the only one who accepts me exactly the way I am. I wouldn't change one thing. The only thing that hurts me is people thinking that I'm not. Please just be happy that I'm happy and leave it at that. Just love me the way I am without trying to change me. I don't mean to hurt anyone by this, but I am tired of being hurt. Which sadly enough is pretty often.

Party
I have found out something about myself I really didn't know til last weekend. I am the life of the party as long as it's a normal party. When things are being done that aren't the norm, in my world, my walls go up and I tried very hard, but I could not get them to come down. I felt stupid, cuz I was now the person who instead of being in the middle of everything I was the wall flower. I am usually the fun one, the crazy one, the "I can't believe she just did that" one. Even though I had a great time it just wasn't the same. It made me feel really old. But hey I figure that has to be some kind of record to be 30 the first (and last) time I went to a bar. I'm sorry but I really don't see the appeal. The dancing was fun, but people wouldn't stay out of my "purple circle". I found out a wedding ring is a great repellant. All I had to do is point it towards the men and they would stop their advances. Maybe I am letting my OCD run my life a little, but that place was sooooo dirty. Maybe that is why I couldn't relax. Oh well, it was still a really fun night that I won't ever forget and it's always a good thing to try something new to see if you like it. Apparently I don't like being out of my comfort zone, but then again, who does?

Washington
I am getting more and more excited to go to Washington. Not only will I get to see Brent's family, but I'm going to Forks for my birthday. My friend Brooke, who has already been there twice, is willing to get together with me so she can show me on a map the best places to go. I hope we can fit it all in one day. She says the beaches were the best. I want to go to Seattle while up there too. I love Pike's market. I have a ring that I bought there once that needs repaired. I hope the guy will help me out. Only a few more weeks. Yay!!!!

Bell's Palsey
It's week two of this Bell's Palsey thing and things aren't too bad. I started back to work yesterday after having last week off. I am not tired like I was on the steroids, but face was very fatigued by the end of the day. Luckily the only people who noticed something was off were patients who know me well and I felt comfortable to explain what was going on. My friend Rosanne, that I do trade massage with, gave me a few of her oils to put on everynight before bed and I have been massaging my face and neck a few times a day. My eyebrow moves a little more and it's easier to close that eye. The last 3 days my face feels bruised, but I guess pain is good when compared to numbness. It means the nerves are trying to wake up. The doc was shocked by the progress I've had in such a short time, so it just reaffirms my faith in massage. It really does help alot. Hopefully I can cut my time by half.

My Face :(
Well I went to see the doc today because the left side of my face has gone numb and I can't really use it. Turns out I have Bells Palsey. It's a part of the herpes virus that was released in my body when I had Chicken Pox. It attacks the nerve roots that run through a hole in the back of my head and into the face. The doc gave me an antiviral and a steroid. So yeah, this really sucks. I can't really taste anything, I can't close that eye without closing both so putting on makeup is fun, and Clint keeps calling me Elvis, cuz when I smile only one side goes up. Well at least it's only suppose to last 4-8 weeks. Grrrr.

Babies
Please everyone send happy positive thoughts our direction. This whole trying to get pregnant thing really sucks. It's frustrating that the Klomid hasn't worked. It sucks trying not to tell anyone that we're trying, but that's all you can think about all day long, so it always comes up. Then I feel that I let them down that it's like, "Nope not this month." Grrrr. And yes I know that they don't feel that way, but I do. I have decided that I can't do the Klomid again next month. The toll it's taking on my body is way too much for me to handle. We are really hoping everything works out for us. So please remember us in your prayers. Thanks. :)

Good Day
You know those days where it seems like time has sped up and you don't get anything done. Well today is not that day. I didn't even get going til 11am, but today I have cleaned the house, washed my bedding, went to the store, paid the bills, and I am making a roast with potatoes and carrots for dinner. The Rhodes rolls are still rising. And I still feel great. Then tonight I am going to cut Joe's hair, so his mom doesn't make him get it cut by the students at Evans. The kids look like they've been cut with a weed wacker. Then ma and I are going to go tanning for her psoriasis. It's barely 4pm and it feels like it should be 10pm. Today is going to be a good day. :)

Hormones suck.
Ok, so since I have been on face book a lot of my friends ask how we're doing and there's that question I hate to answer. "Do we have any kids?" Well right now it is a no and here is why. For the past few years Clint and I really haven't been trying, but we aren't doing anything to stop it either. So after my cycles starting coming farther and farther apart I decided to see a doctor about it. As it turns out I am not ovulating. So I have been placed on Progesterone for 10 days to make my cycle come then I will be put on Klomid to make me ovulate. The Progesterone makes me very tired and I am hungry all the time. I've gained 2 pounds in the last 9 days. But the doctors are worried that it might now work, because I have a lesion in my pituitary gland. That is the master gland that controls almost all the hormones in the body. I've known about the lesion since 2002 I was suppose to have a follow up MRI in 6 months, but we lost our insurance. I just got the follow up MRI last month to see if it has gotten any bigger and it has, but not by much. The scary thing is my neurologist on my last visit changed the description from lesion to tumor. But the problem now is, did it just start growing? Because my hormones have only started to act funny the last few months. So we'll just have to see how it goes. We have to get my body back on track before kids are even an option.

Update on Sam
They took everything 6 inches below her knee off. The surgery went very well. The doc's took part of the tibia, the shin bone, and turned it horizontal so it attaches to both bones to give her better support. She got to come home last Tuesday. She is living at Clint's mom's house, so they set Sam up in her front room. She is going back up to the hospital today to for them to re-check her leg and put on a smaller cast. Right now she has a cast that goes all the way up to her hip. She hates it, because it is so heavy. Sam is an amazing little girl. She has such a great out look. She just keeps saying, "It's just a foot. At least I'm still here." Her only worry is about dating. She is worried that no one will want to date her without her foot. We have told her that anyone who meets her will love her, with or without a foot. She is really excited, because a orthodontist heard about her and is going to give her braces for her teeth for free.

Sam's Foot
I have had a very hard time lately as many of you know Clint's niece Sam was run over by a semi on Monday and it took off her foot. The doctors reattached it and did all that they could do but it looks like she is going to loose everything from the ankle down. I just got off the phone with Cory(Clint's sister) and she is just devastated. She knows Sam is going to loose the foot but Sam doesn't yet. I mean how do you tell someone that. She is waiting until morning to tell her, so that Sam will have one more good night of thinking nothing is going to change. I feel so helpless, there isn't much I can do except send prayers and happy thoughts that way. Sam was horrified when they cut all of her clothes off. She just kept crying, "They're cutting off my good clothes." So Clint and I have decided to try and replace outfit she lost. I am saddened by the people who voiced their opinions on KSL's web page. One person even had the gall to say that Sam was trying to prove something. Others said that it was Sam's fault and that she should of been paying attention. The truck came up from behind her. I didn't know you had to walk down the street looking over your shoulder the whole time. But all I got to say is that if it is not safe to walk on side walks where can we walk? I want to thank everyone who has sent their love and support, it is much appreciated.

Stubby
Last night Clint and I were getting ready for bed when we heard Stubby meowing hysterically in the kitchen(Stubby hardly ever talks). We ran in there expecting to find him injured. He was just sitting there. A praimantis had somehow came in with him through the kitty door and Stubby was crying because he was scared. He spent the rest of the night on our bed.

Stardust
I just wanted to say, that I love the movie Stardust. At first I didn't but it now has really grown on me. I am now reading the book along with audio book. That's my favorite way to read right now, because it makes it so you can just listen when in the car or out in the yard. But I recommend watching Stardust, if you like Harry Potter movies you'll see Mr. Weasley playing a goat that has been turned into a man. Plus the man who does Charming's voice in Shrek is one of the princes.

Un-employment
I just have to say that I am definitely a 8 to 5 kinda person. I hate being on unemployment. I know I have more time to get things done but I feel like I'm not getting anything done. My brain feels all scrambled, like I can't concentrate on one thing. I feel like everything is chaos. It is not so bad if I make plans with someone cuz then it feels like a schedule. If I try to make a list of things to do I have found that I start something then move on to something that wasn't on the list but needed to be done. AAAHHHHH!! Oh well, just 5 more weeks. :)

Poor Butters
My sweet little Butters got neutered on Monday. He was very sad. He cried all the way there, but when I picked him up he wouldn't talk to me. He just hid under the blankets on my bed til Clint got home. It was obvious that he was crying because his eyes where all red and the fur on his cheeks were wet. He really likes his pain meds. We gave him his last dose last night and when I got up this morning he had torn the house apart; wires hanging, stools tipped over, cat food everywhere. He had way too much fun. I hope what they say is true, that neutered cats calm down. If not I'm in trouble.

Spring time!!!
I am so happy it is finally warm. Clint and I got our yard cleaned up last weekend. I got all my flowers planted and Clint's peas planted. Hopefully they will grow, I really don't have a green thumb, but oh well. Stubby is glad that it is warm outside too, he can go out and not freeze. (We had to shave him bald after he got in a cat fight and rolled in a bur patch.)

Update
I just thought I would let everyone know the plan. This year the Doc is being sent to Iraq on May 31st for 3 months. So I am going on unemployment again. So if anyone needs me I'll be available. Clint will be staying at Lehi Roller Mills, the transfer was decided against. We are happy with this, cuz all the worries of; will he have vacation time, have benefit's, get a pay cut are all gone. Yeah!!!
